For all our social media updates with your listings, the hashtags #hris #job are used so other broadcasters and users will see your posting throughout the internet. If a third hashtag is needed, we will provide that as well. We reserve 20 spaces for the link to the listing and 11-20 spaces for the hashtags, leave 100-109 characters for us to promote your listing. Given social media is where many are starting to look for jobs, we are going where those seeking jobs are going.
How Many Will See Your Updates and View Your Postings?
Well, being able to tell how many will see your updates and view your postings — we really don’t know, yet. The technology to track information through a syndicated network on the web is not cheap. If you know of any software that is inexpensive and is reliable, please let us know as we would love to know how we are doing beyond our own base. But what we do know our average job posting on our site will be seen by 7,000 to 8,000 just on our site alone. As we syndicate our postings, there is a potential for 14 million views for any given posting — but the average is probably closer to 1 million. Currently, there is not a method available to measure the syndicated views accurately.
As for the updates and broadcasts through the social media, research of the updates and RT’s after the expiration of an average posting has shown an average of 1,000 to 5,000 per job posting. This means at the first level, those that are reading our website and updates, there are between 8,000 and 13,000 views. What we can promise is managing our social updates for your posting is given careful consideration — and we know what a viewer sees reflects on both you and us.
