About The HRIS World

Mission

To guide our audience into establishing well-informed and discerning decisions which will produce quality work, decisions which will protect the focus of their projects, and decisions which will produce effective solutions, The HRIS World will provide the right and needed information and services. More importantly, we want to inspire our audience to have the successful relationships necessary to will motivate themselves to be successful, which will, in turn, will inspire them to inspire others in having successful relationships as well.

Structure and Membership

The HRIS World is a public blog started in 2008 as a hobby blog and turned professional in 2012, growing from 2000 visits a month with less than 6000pages views to more than 50,0000 visits with more than 530,000 page views a month. We believe our desire to provide the latest news, our focus on leadership and work principles that are not affected by technology, and keeping an eye on innovations that will affect work, careers, or the industry have all helped bolster our viewership. We are read by graduands to C-level decision-makers in more than 160 countries every month, from micro-businesses to Enterprises alike.

> Content

Most of our content is evergreen and is setup on Content Series for the convenience of our audience - HR technology advances in AI and NLP, a focus on the needs of Millennials and today's leadership, presentation of vendor products and services as well as interviews with vendor decision makers, insights into why some project managers always do very well, and of course, and why the tail of technology consistently keeps wagging the HR dog.

> Podcasts

Starting in 2017, we will be presenting our Content Series in the form of podcasts, providing interviews with the thought leaders in each vertical. The Podcasts will be presented in both short and long form (1-3 minutes and a full 20-30 minute interview broadcast), mostly prerecorded.

>Interviews

Conference speakers, thought leaders, leadership development, trend settings, visionaries, and vendor decision makers will be rounding out our interviews in content, podcast, and video format. Calls are made twice a year to develop a program for the coming 6 months, all are promoted on our social media channels, of course.

> Learning

Provided by an affiliation with Skillshare, the latest courses are provided to our audience members to learn at their own pace and understanding. Premium membership permits access to all their courses, all courses are owned during your membership with Skillshare, and you are free to take as many courses as you can possibly learn during your membership (US$96 per annum, or $12/month). Skillshare also provides courses for teams - not matter what level, with more than 17,000 courses, you can learn exactly what you need, when you need.

> Resource Needs

All our audience members have a need besides career -- such as the need for the latest information on various topics. We offer several free downloads from vendors such as Cornerstone OnDemand, HireVue, BambooHR, Deloitte, Oracle, SAP, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Accenture, and many others. They all provide free guides, white papers, research, eBooks, and book extracts to our audience every day.  We also provide a store on Amazon with the latest publications in leadership, human resources, and technology. Our viewers are, of course, free to browse other departments on our Amazon store.

> Tools

Without tools, where would we be? Laptops, 2-in-1 hybrid laptops, tablets, desktop computers, smartphones, printers, scanners, even fax machines... OK, maybe not so much on the fax machines, but some still use them! We are provided discounts ranging from 10 to 30% on many of the latest machines and provide these to our audience as well.

Media Relationships

> HRN

Since Marc Coleman's first conference in Europe, The HRIS World has maintained a relationship with him and his company, witnessing it grow from a few hundred to more than 6000. We provide coverage of his October conference which is usually held in Paris or Amsterdam. We have had the pleasure of sending several of our loyal contributors and writers to the conference so to provide a first-hand experience of the latest developments that Marc and his crew have been able to put together for the industry. Everything is provided through social media as well as our blog for months after the event. We also make an effort to follow their leading speakers throughout the year to be sure their messages are being shared and heard.

The HRIS World is always open to developing a media relationships with any major conference in any part of the globe - Africa, Europe, Middle East, Asia, North, Central, and South America. Once the relationship has been established, we will share the content they provide us to our audience as well as reach out to any who are planning to attend to gain feedback where possible.

Services Offered

Blog Posts

You are the subject matter expert of your post, editing will only be performed on the overall structure of the blog, not the actual wording. Please be sure to spell check your post before submitting. We suggest a free account with Grammarly to speed up the process as well as provide overall grammatical soundness.

Images may be submitted however they must be if professional quality -- 300 dpi or higher is suggested. If you purchased or "borrowed" a picture, be sure the proper credits are provided as well as verify there is a Common License for the image

We MUST be notified if the material being submitted has been previously published or is going to be published elsewhere. The first to publish a work usually retains the rights of publication and if we are not then we would be required to tag your post for search engines not to follow nor index your post on our site.

The length of a post should be at least 300 words, with 500-750 being the average. Longer posts may be split up for 2 or 3 postings if necessary, though we have published long posts in the past as long as 3000 words.

All posts are promoted on our social media channels for 2 to 3 months after publication. After this, they are 'revived' through an automated process that sends a tweet out about your post every 10 to 12 days, which then is retweeted by any of our 6 other twitter accounts. If the content is evergreen in nature, it will be republished at a later time to re-introduce your content to our audience.

Our social media channels are, but not limited to LinkedIn (company page, 3 groups, and the public feed), twitter (7 accounts), Google plus, Flipboard (more than 30 magazines), scoop.it, StumbleUpon, Tumblr, and paper.li (#thwNews).

Interviews

All interviews will provide a list of questions to be considered for the topic to be discussed, you - of course - choose the topic if we have not already approached you.

Once the format of the questions has been agreed upon, the interview will be scheduled to your convenience or in the case of the email questionnaire, an agreed date of when the completed questionnaire should be expected.

In all interviews, we want to inspire the audience to look further into your information, see how they can use it towards their own good and perhaps even the good of others, all with the purpose of having them provide responses and feedback to your ideas, thoughts, and comments.

The HRIS World offers 3 different interview formats - 1 written, 2 electronic (audio, video)

Do know that podcast and video interviews require a sound test with the equipment and the machines you are going to use for the full interview.

This test will be recorded to verify that the full interview will provide a quality recording.

It is highly suggested that a professional headset or a studio microphone be used for the test as well as the full interview.

If we cannot produce a quality recording, unfortunately, we cannot continue with the process.

If the equipment to be used for the recording changes, we will need to do a new sound test.

Payment is not expected until publication, you will have the opportunity to review everything if you wish before anything is published.

Podcasts and Webinars

Launching in September 2017, we will be providing podcast and webinars focused on the latest developments, advances, and trends in the HR and HR Technology industry.

Besides what and how of what is happening, we will also look into why you need to assess your work, career, and/or processes with the topic being discussed.

We will be making a call for guests starting in June with recording to initiate in August.
